Committee Information
The Budget & Finance Committee monitors financial status of South Riding Proprietary; reviews funding requests of all committees; and prepares the annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors.

Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. via teleconference unless otherwise noted on the calendar.

Community Standards

Committee Information
The Community Standards Committee approves exterior modifications to homes in accordance with the South Riding Declaration, regulates external design, signage, appearance, use, and upkeep of properties in South Riding.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at South Riding Center, 42420 Unicorn Drive unless otherwise noted on the calendar.

Elections

Committee Information
The Elections Committee oversees the administration of the Board of Director’s election, certification of election results, and the community Annual Meeting.

Meetings are held the 1st Thursday at 4pm via teleconference, from January through May each year unless otherwise noted on the calendar.

 

Neighborhood Watch

Committee Information
Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime, and improve the quality of life in our community.

Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 43055 Center Street unless otherwise noted on the calendar.

Crime Statistics
Neighborhood Watch receives a “Calls for Service” report each month from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) which contains incidents reported in South Riding or on nearby streets.  The Sheriff’s Office indicates that South Riding does not have an inordinate amount of crime for its size and population.  

 

Parks and Recreation

Committee Information
The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Committee is to review, consider and advise the Board on issues related to maintenance, upkeep and use of the common area facilities; review, consider and recommend modifications relating to rules, use policies, fee structures for recreation, facilities and related programming; provide programming and educational opportunities for residents pertaining to recreation, facilities and grounds; review and recommend changes to the scope of related contracts; and work to bring recognition to the community through worthwhile certifications and acknowledgements.

Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 7:00pm at Town Hall, 43055 Center Street unless otherwise noted on the calendar.

Open Space Working Group - currently inactive

Committee Information
When needed, the Open Space Working Group provides recommendations to the Recreation and Grounds Committee and Board of Directors for the use of all parcels currently available to South Riding Proprietary.

Website & Technology - currently inactive

Committee Information

When needed, the Website & Technology Committee provides recommendations to Staff and Board of Directors for IT related needs.

 

Diversity Engagement Council - currently inactive
