Message from Committee

The South Riding Hometown Committee (SRHC) was established in April 2011.  Formerly the Block Captain Committee, the Hometown Committee is responsible for promoting South Riding and spreading hometown spirit.

The Hometown Committee hosts an annual Community Information Night, works with Town Hall on community projects, explores ways to extend the reach to the community, distributes Welcome Bags, and oversees neighborhood gatherings.

Neighborhood Gatherings

Neighborhood Gatherings provide an opportunity for neighbors to socialize at least once a year.  On the weekend of September 9th, residents are encouraged to hold their own neighborhood gathering to coincide with the Fall Expo and Community Wide Yard Sale.  These two events provide an opportunity for all of the South Riding neighborhoods to have one weekend focused on the community as a whole.

Meetings

The Hometown Committee Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at South Riding Center located at 42420 Unicorn Drive.
